As the official representation of Switzerland, the Embassy covers all matters concerning diplomatic relations between the two countries. It represents Swiss interests in the areas of political, economic, financial and legal affairs, as well as science, education and culture.

On 17 June 2026, the USA and Iran signed a memorandum of understanding to end the conflict.
The situation in the Near and Middle East remains tense and the future course of events uncertain. A resumption of the conflict cannot be ruled out.
Keep up to date with developments in the region and follow the instructions of the local authorities.
The principle of personal responsibility applies in accordance with the Swiss Abroad Act.
We advise passengers travelling to or via Qatar to:
- check their flight status regularly with their airline;
- keep themselves informed of any changes to flight schedules or travel regulations;
- keep your status in the Travel Admin app up to date; if you have already left the region, we urge you to manually end your trip
- and to regularly consult the FDFA’s official channels.
